what different does it make?

almost 2 mths past since i climbed up mt K....was not so keen to update the news that it could become public reading material like here..neither a picture nor a word i shared here till this very day i was cracking my head if i could write something here..finally i remember about my trailing and hiking of mount K..
I felt the different it made to my life after climbing but i start to think it doesn't stay that long..habit is hard to break..my routine has gone back to the old me even i've made promises to myself to make some positive change

soooooooo what different does it make?

Leave the kids alone

I extracted an idea from John D. Cook blog on standardised education issue. I think he has an intelligent point here. "As someone who has studied education policy quite a bit, I feel the need to attach all sorts of qualifications to this argument.
1. Not everyone can make a living following their early passions.
2. Many people in this country, even adults, struggle with reading because their schools and parents didn’t focus enough attention on making sure they learned it when they were young.
3. We can have more standardization (of a certain type) and more personalization at the same time."

Certain measures of standardisation is indebatebly essential in many education systems around the world.

still not here..

i reckon something is just still not here...neither in my blood nor soul.. i'm pushing myself and sometimes to the extent of forcing myself..that i have to write more..something close to me. Like?
what could be the closest to my heart..what over thing besides my daily work routine - lecturing. Educational leadership and management.
Today, i responded to an email to choose subjects i like to lecture on for the whole year 2010 under one particular course structure. I've confidently and happily chosen strategic planning, good governance, school based training... and still looking for performance management if i can squeeze in in other structures.
I have strategic planning for an 18 hours stretch within 3 days. I found it interesting yet challenging. I'm ready to do more of it. I have also done good governance in at least three different groups of audience. I have to put forth more perfecting effort.

Dear All, wish me all the best of luck!
